pH-probe pH catheters
The pH catheters is intended for intragastric pH-metry and for diagnosis of diseases of esophagus, stomach, duodenum and other. The pH catheter Russian specification is "Converter primary for gastroenterology (pH catheter) in a polymer shell with silver chloride cutaneous reference electrode", ТУ 9441-003-13306657-2003.

We produce 3 classes of the pH catheters:
  • transendoscopic
  • transnasal
  • peroral

  • In the foreground. The tip is on the distal end of the catheter, the first measuring electrode is further to the left along the catheter and the second measuring electrode is further to the left along the catheter.
  • In the center. The silver chloride cutaneous reference electrode.
  • In the foreground. Recorder Gastroscan-24.
  • To the right. The socket of the catheter.

The pH catheter consists of:
  • few (1 to 5) measuring antimony electrodes fixed on a transparent plastic tube
  • the silver chloride cutaneous reference electrode
  • socket for connecting to the recorder 
Transendoscopic pH catheters
Transendoscopic pH catheters are used with the acidogastrometer AGM-03 for wall topographical endoscopic pH-metry. The transendoscopic pH catheter has only one measuring antimony electrod, situated near the dielectric distal end of the catheter. There are two type of the transendoscopic pH catheters. The first of that, has a maximum external diameter 2.4 mm, the second one - 1.8 mm.

Transnasal pH catheters
Transnasal pH catheters are used with the recorders Gastroscan-24 and Gastroscan-GEM for 24-h monitoring acidity in esophagus, stomach, duodenum and other. There are 5 types of the transnasal pH catheters:

On request can be made pH catheters with different distance between the measuring electrodes and pH catheters with a weighted tip of large diameter to facilitate entry into the duodenum.

Peroral pH catheters
Introduction the peroral pH catheter
Peroral pH catheters used with the recorders Gastroscan-5 and AGM-03 for short-term studies (up to 3 hours) basal and stimulated acidity in esophagus, stomach, duodenum and other.

The distance between the 3rd and 4th measuring electrodes of catheters Г5, Г5-Д1, Г5-Д2, Г5-Д3 and Г5-Д4 are respectively 120, 50, 70, 70, 90 and 110 mm, between 4th and 5th - 50 mm.

On request can be made pH catheters with different number of measuring electrodes (not more than five), and other distances between them, as well as pH catheters with a weighted tip of large diameter (up to 8 mm) to facilitate entry into the duodenum.

Names of catheters
The first character of all specificaitions of the pH catheters is a Russian letter Г. The second character is number of the catheter's measuring electrodes. Character Д in specificaition designates pH catheters for children. Symbols 24 in specificaition designates transnasal pH catheters usually used for 24-h monitoring. Character Э in specificaition designates transendoscopic pH catheters.
